Information we process
Account information includes usernames, email addresses, account settings and saved links. Click records can include the time, referring source, IP-related information, browser, device and approximate location. Collection depends on the relevant site and link settings. A destination URL can itself contain personal information; do not put confidential data, passwords or access tokens in shared URLs.
Why we use information
We use information to provide accounts and redirects, display analytics, manage subscriptions, deliver requested reports, support users and address security or abuse. Account and subscription processing supports providing the service you request. Security processing supports protecting the service and its users. Optional processing requiring consent should operate only where that consent is obtained; contact us if you have a concern about a particular link or technology.
Service providers and payments
Hosting, email and payment providers help operate the service. The website is hosted with InterServer. Available payment integrations include Paystack, Flutterwave and Stripe; the provider actually selected at checkout processes payment information under its own notice. Link-trim receives references and payment or subscription status needed to manage the account. Providers and destination websites may process information outside Nigeria; applicable safeguards and provider terms depend on the processing involved.
Statistics retention
Current plan settings specify 30 days of click-statistics retention for Free and 365 days for paid plans. These settings govern scheduled statistics cleanup; they are not a promise that every backup copy disappears at the same instant. Account, billing and security records have separate purposes and may be retained where needed to operate the service, meet legal obligations or resolve disputes. Contact us for a request concerning a particular record or backup.
Your requests and rights
You may contact us to request access, correction or deletion, object to processing, withdraw applicable consent or exercise other rights available under applicable law. We may need proportionate verification before disclosing account information. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already lawfully performed. You may also raise a concern with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
External links and embedded services
A short link can lead to a website controlled by someone else. That destination determines its own processing. Link owners can configure supported tracking features; report a concern if a destination or configured link appears to misuse personal information.
